Macaroni and cheese

I know the recipe from my mother, it's almost the same as what Ramonaky made.

  • 350 g paste
  • 50 grams of butter

Preheat the oven. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the previously cooked macaroni. Put everything in a tray (preferably size 9 & # 21513). Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese on top has melted and turned into a crispy golden crust.

4 steps to prepare macaroni and salted cheese

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, add water to a large pot and salt and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook al dente.

2. In another saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour and mustard powder and mix for about 5 minutes. Be careful not to get lumpy at all. Add the milk, onion, bay leaf and paprika. Bring to the boil for 10 minutes, then remove the bay leaf.

3. Add the egg to the liquid composition, as well as 3/4 of the grated cheddar cheese. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add the macaroni to the pot, turn off the heat, then pour the composition into a heat-resistant container. Sprinkle the remaining cheese.

4. To make the topping, melt the butter in a pan and add the breadcrumbs. Pour this composition over the macaroni and place in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Macaroni pudding recipe with cheese and cranberries

Even if the classic recipe, from childhood, was with raisins, cranberries are not inferior either. We like them because they are more sour. But if you want to get the taste of yesteryear you can use raisins.

The mother-in-law is a specialist in the preparation of this pudding. And the cheese composition was a mixture of sweet cheese and salted cheese. About 3/4 sweet cheese and 1/4 salted cheese. This mixture of cheeses in a dessert is delicious. It feels sweet and salty at the same time. I use the pie combination quite often.

This time, however, I only used sweet cheese. I had it in the fridge and I had to get rid of it.

I also prepare, when I have more time, this pudding with burnt sugar icing. It's really special so caramelized. With the burnt sugar, glaze the tray before assembling the pudding in it. After baking, the pudding turns upside down and will look very appetizing so glazed.

I think that's how I'll prepare it next time.

INGREDIENTS

  • For a cake shape of 20 cm:
  • 250 gr classic macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1250 ml of milk
  • 50 gr sugar
  • For the filling:
  • 600 gr sweet cheese
  • 50 gr cranberries
  • 100 g vanilla flavored powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 20 gr butter
  • a little caster sugar to powder the tray

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Here's how easy it is to prepare a childhood-flavored dessert: Macaroni pudding with cheese and cranberries!

First boil the milk with a little salt and sugar. When it reaches boiling point, let it cool for 2-3 minutes, then add the macaroni. Boil the macaroni with milk until it is well hydrated. We transfer them to a sieve to drain.

While the macaroni is boiling with milk, we take care of the filling.

Hydrate the cranberries in a little lukewarm water for 10-12 minutes.

Mix the cheese with the salt, sugar and drained cranberries. Then incorporate the two eggs. We set aside 1/4 of this composition. We mix the rest of the composition with drained and well-tempered macaroni.

Grease the baking tin with butter at the base and on the sides and sprinkle with caster sugar. It will help in the end to open the pudding from the tray perfectly.

Spread the macaroni mixed with cheese and cranberries in the pan. Spread the stopped cheese composition on top.
