Pea food

Pea food

A pea dish with pork, made slowly, so .... Transylvanian, in a clay pot. I had it on the waiting list for a long time and now it's finally her turn. A wonderful food, I brag too, but if you try it, you'll see I didn't fool you.

  • 300 gr peas peas
  • 300 gr pork pulp
  • 5 carrots
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • milk
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 pieces onions
  • marar, leustean
  • oil
  • salt

Servings: -

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Pea dish:

Peel the onion and cut it into small pieces. Put a little oil in the clay pot and put the onion to harden. Then add the cut meat. Let it fry for a while. As I said, in the clay pot the process is very slow. Then pour two glasses of cold water, add salt and a little pepper and let it simmer. When the meat is almost cooked, add the peeled carrots and cut into pieces (new carrots will boil very quickly), peas and larch.

When it is cooked and the peas, dissolve the flour with a little milk and add it to the pot, stirring so that it does not become lumpy. Add the three tablespoons of sour cream and finely chopped dill. that was.

All I have to do is tell you ..... Good appetite !!!

Good idea for lunch tomorrow. Thousands of thanks. Kiss.

I discovered your blog a few days ago. Bestial recipes. I like that you try to cook as healthy as possible without too many fries.
Regarding peas & have you ever tried to make it with sour cream (or fatty yogurt) and a lot of dill?
My friend says it's bestial.

PS: I have already chosen some of your networks to cook them this week

Anonymous I'm glad you like the recipes I tried & # 8230 as for peas, I make the recipe with sour cream similar to this and at the end I put a lot of chopped dill & # 8230 with yogurt I haven't tried, I would be grateful if you write the recipe because my husband is a pea fan :))

Now I'm going to do it because you made me want to ...

I'm waiting for you to tell me how it turned out & # 8230 but definitely with sausages besides, yes? :)). Have a nice weekend :).

How can I cook this food without cooking onions?

You can add oil to heat, then add the peas and onions, finely chopped. If you don't like onions, you can remove them altogether :). A beautiful day !

Mamaaaaaaa, what a mess you got me out of. I didn't know what to cook quickly. It's a great recipe and looks fffff good. Now I'm going to do it. Thank you very much for the recipes.

Hi Amalia, I follow your blog every day & you help me a lot by giving me ideas for what to cook. I'm trying this sweet & # 8230pup recipe today.
A beautiful spring & # 8230 as you wish & # 8230

Hi Laura, thanks for the appreciation these days I haven't posted much .. # you know spring asthenia, but I'm trying to recover :).

I also use peas ,, Bond & # 8230 & # 8221 & # 8221 (you understand, without advertising) it is very good and very tasty, I put it at the end of the meal, I leave it only 2-3 boils then I stop the fire and sprinkle dill on top !! try it too.

If it's food, let it be food! Instead of onions, I use garlic, which I cut into small pieces and put it in a pot with 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil, heated well. Do not fry the garlic for more than 10-15 seconds and then add the peas. After cooking them for 15-20 minutes, I add boiled water just enough to cover the peas and let them boil for about 20 minutes. During this time I prepare a starch from 1 tablespoon of flour and about 1l of milk (whoever wants can do it with sour cream) which I will pour over the almost boiled peas and let them boil until they boil in 2-3 boils. At the end I sprinkle dill or finely chopped parsley (leaves) and cover the bowl with a lid so that the food takes on flavor.

Excellent recipe, I will try it and my husband loves peas :).

no more water is added after I added the tomato juice?

Dear Amalia,
I don't cook much, but when I feel like something, I immerse myself in this site, look at the recipes and get tired of looking and feeling their aroma. I am also from Transylvania, and you bring home the flavor of my favorite foods, as you prepare the pictures, they are like when I make them under my eyes, and the taste must be like my mother's. Definitely and without a doubt. I can't hit them like mom. I'm in Qatar, and you bring me home here & # 8230. & # 8221 the smell of home & # 8221.
I wish you good health, to be able to write as many recipes as possible, and I hope you will be appreciated for what you do for us, you are a miracle.

Luminita thank you very much for the beautiful words, they went straight to my heart, I know it's hard when you're away from home but look as you write you still remember the food from your mother cooking a recipe & # 8230 I'm glad that the recipes I like you:) & # 8230 kiss you and all the best.

  1. For this pea dish with meatballs, boil the peas separately in water with a little salt for about 40 minutes, until soft.

2. Meanwhile, prepare the meatballs. Mix the minced meat with the rest of the ingredients, add 3-4 tablespoons of water and knead all the ingredients very well. Put the meatball composition in the fridge for 20 minutes.

3. Put the oil in a saucepan and heat the onion, carrot and pepper with a little salt until they become shiny. Add tomato juice, 2 cups hot water, bay leaf, salt and pepper.

4. Remove the meatball composite from the refrigerator and form round meatballs.

When the sauce starts to boil, add the meatballs to the pan with the sauce. The sauce should cover the meatballs. Boil the meatballs over low heat for about 30 minutes.

5. After the meatballs have boiled, remove them from the sauce with a whisk, so that they do not break when we add the peas. Add the peas and a little of the water in which the peas boiled and mix. The food must have enough sauce. Add the meatballs to the pan again.

We continue to cook this pea dish with meatballs for about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the greens.

We serve this pea dish with meatballs for lunch or dinner, along with a salad.

Pea dish with meat and tomato sauce

Pea recipes are quick and easy to cook, I prefer fresh peas from the garden but I happen to use it quite rarely, I generally cook with frozen peas because it is more practical.

I wrote in the title with meat without specifying which one because this food can be made both with chicken as in my case and with pork, beef or turkey. The taste is just as good, this time I chose chicken because it cooks faster. On the blog I have some recipes with peas and white sauce, prepared with chicken, I invite you to discover them here:

You do not need many ingredients to prepare this delicious food, of course it will be much tastier prepared in summer with fresh tomatoes, but mashed tomatoes are also very helpful.

Pea dish with meat and tomato sauce

  • 600g chicken breast
  • 450g frozen or fresh peas
  • 1 small onion
  • 300ml mashed tomatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3-4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • optional marar

We wash the chicken well and cut it into strips, which we season with salt and pepper.

We use a larger diameter pan or pan. Heat a little olive oil and fry the meat well, stirring occasionally over low heat. When the liquid left by the meat starts to drop, let the meat brown a little and then taste it to see if it is ready. As for the chicken breast, it should be almost ready, if you use pork, for example, add water like the stew about 200ml and let it simmer until the meat is ready. Add the finely chopped and chopped onion, leave for another 2-3 minutes and add the peas. Pour the mashed tomatoes, sugar, mix, cover with a lid and simmer for about 10 minutes until the peas are done. If the sauce drops too much, add a little water.

When the peas are cooked, season if necessary with salt, pepper and add, if you like, chopped dill.

If you prepare it with fresh tomatoes, then the tomatoes are scalded, peeled and cut into small pieces. Strain the seeds and add to the food.

If you use broth then you need to thicken the sauce with a little flour. In a bowl put 1 tablespoon of flour and add 100ml broth. Turn over the food when it is ready and mix. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes and the food is ready.

If (and if) you use fresh peas, prepare it as here

And in the version prepared with chicken legs

Pea stew - recipe

ingredients

• 500 g of dried peas
• 5-6 onions
• 1 head of garlic
• 4 tablespoons oil
• salt to taste

Method of preparation

Choose peas and keep them healthy. Put them in a bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for a few hours.

Pour the water, rinse the beans and boil them with fresh water in a saucepan over low heat.

Leave until the berries have softened well and crumble between the fingers.

Remove the peas from the water and place in a sieve. Press with the back of a spoon to separate the pasty core from the peel.

The pea paste obtained is then placed in a bowl. Beat with a whisk to make it creamy. Add the crushed garlic. Continue beating until gradually incorporating the oil.

If you want the pea stew to taste even better, put 2 tablespoons of oil on the stove. Saute the onion for a few minutes, then pour it over the stew.

It is spread on bread and served as such. It can be accompanied with tomatoes, bell peppers, pickles, cauliflower in vinegar, beetroot and horseradish salad, sauerkraut or any other type of garnish you like.

Boiled peas can also be added to soups, broths or salads.

How do we make the best pea dish with chicken?

Because I don't like a pea dish with chicken with too much boiled peas. I make sure to prepare my meat sauce beforehand and add the peas at the end, just to cook it completely. It is very important to brown the chicken well for a better taste. I used lower chicken legs, but you can also use upper legs, wings or even chicken breast. If you like, you can also use organs such as pipettes and chicken or turkey hearts. I also mentioned turkey, and turkey meat can be used in this dish. In fact you can put any kind of meat you have or any kind of meat you like. For an extra flavor I used green dill, but you can also add parsley.

The wonderful chicken pea dish is ready when the peas are ready. As I mentioned, the peas are put at the end, when the meat is almost ready and we leave it for a maximum of 5 minutes. Leave the sauce a little more liquid because it will thicken when it cools. When you reheat the food, add a little more water if you think the sauce is too thick. But I am convinced that there is not much chance to stay because this food is delicious. If you like peas, but you don't know what to use them for, try my recipe for hummus with peas. It is very simple to make, tasty and especially healthy. I sincerely hope you like my pea-based recipes and try them at the first opportunity.
