St. Louis barbecue sauce

I stay far, far away from supermarket sauces. I only venture to the familiar ones, such as Thai hot sauce. As usual, I do what can be done at home.

  • Ingredient:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne or hot pepper

Servings: 1

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

HOW TO PREPARE RECIPE St. Louis barbecue sauce:

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and put on low heat.

Keep it on the fire for about 10 minutes or until all the water has evaporated and a sauce has formed.

Remove from the heat, allow to cool and place in a jar or container.

Store in the refrigerator.

It's even better the next day.
